A free utility to control all the objects that run on Windows Startup.

HijackThis is a tool that creates a list of all the add-ons for browsers, buttons, objects in startup, etc, and lets you inspect and delete them if you want, avoiding having anything installed you didn't know about.

HijackThis also lets you save a backup of your original configuration, with the aim of being able to restore it at any time.

Other HijackThis options include a list of all the programs that run on Windows Startup, the Start page of your browser, on-line updates, etc. HijackThis works with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers.
